Kia Sorento Platinum gets autonomous emergency braking

Kia has added autonomous emergency braking to its Sorento Platinum SUV and rolled out a GT-Line grade.

KIA HAS ADDED autonomous emergency braking (AEB) to its Sorento Platinum variant with the list price for that model rising $600 to $56,590+ORC. This is good news as the Sorento is up against models costing less with the same safety features.

Kia has also announced the addition of a GT-Line variant (interior pictured below) to the Sorento line-up which lists from $58,490+ORC and takes over as the top-spec variant. The GT-Line model adds to the Platinum spec and obviously now also includes autonomous emergency braking, 19-inch chrome wheels, stainless steel side steps, red brake calipers, red leather trim, paddle shifters, LED ice cube fog lamps, chrome accented interior and GT-Line badging. It runs a 2.2-litre turbo-diesel engine which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission.
