Jeep has gone black with its line-up offering Blackhawk Editions of Compass, Patriot, Wrangler Overland and Grand Cherokee Laredo 4×4.

“Street appeal is a consideration for many Jeep buyers,” says Fiat Chrysler Australia President and CEO Ms Veronica Johns. “Inclusions in the Blackhawk Edition models provide – in one value-packed comprehensive package – the items many customers search for when customising their vehicles.”

The Jeep Compass and Patriot Blackhawk gets a black, gloss-finish surround for its seven-slot Jeep grille as well as gloss black side roof rails and a body colour rear bumper with step pad. It rides on exclusive 17-inch black painted aluminum wheels. The Jeep Compass Blackhawk model is available in 4X2 configuration with a 2.0-litre petrol engine, heated seats, Uconnect Voice Command with Bluetooth and leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.

Jeep Blackhawk Edition

Pricing is: Patriot Blackhawk 4×2 2.0-litre CVT: $28,900 (+ORC); Compass Blackhawk 4×2 2.0-litre CVT: $30,200 (+ORC).

Both models receive:

  • High Gloss black Jeep badging;
  • Blackhawk badge on boot;
  • Gloss black Patriot or Compass badging;
  • Gloss black grille with black accents;
  • Body colour rear bumper with step pads;
  • Gloss Black side roof rails;
  • 17-inch black alloy wheels;
  • Heated front seats;
  • Uconnect voice command with Bluetooth; and
  • Auto dimming rear-view mirror.

2014 Jeep Wrangler Blackhawk’s exterior highlights include a Blackhawk edition grille with high gloss black accents, deep tint windows and 18-inch black painted alloys finished with high-gloss black centre wheel caps. Inside, the Jeep Wrangler Blackhawk gets black leather seats with accent stitching and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with black stitching. Available in two- or four-door specification, the Wrangler Blackhawk is powered by a 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 mated to a five-speed automatic transmission. Wrangler Blackhawk employs a Command-Trac Four Wheel Drive System with a  2.72:1 low range gear ratio.

Pricing for the Wrangler Blackhawk is: two-door 4×4 3.6-litre petrol 5-speed automatic: $45,000 (+ORC); four-door 4×4 3.6-litre petrol 5-speed automatic: $49,000(+ORC).

Jeep Blackhawk Edition

Jeep Blackhawk Edition

Based on a Laredo 4×4, the Grand Cherokee Blackhawk is available with either a petrol or diesel powerplant, both mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Exterior styling updates include high gloss black Jeep badging, Blackhawk badge on boot, gloss black Grand Cherokee badging, deep tint windows, neutral grey satin gloss tail-lights, body colour fascia, gunmetal headlight bezels, body colour grille with gloss black accents, black roof moldings, dual bright exhaust tips and 20-inch gloss black painted alloy wheels. The interior features black suede/leather seats with black stitching, heated front seats, 8.4-inch touchscreen display with Uconnect Voice Command and Bluetooth.

Pricing for the Grand Cherokee Blackhawk is: 4×4 3.6-litre petrol 8-speed automatic: $50,000 (+ORC); Grand Cherokee Blackhawk 4×4 3.0-litre diesel 8-speed automatic: $55,000 (+ORC).
