A new marketing campaign for the Holden Colorado has launched today, which sees the Colorado racing off-road against a mountain goat…in New Zealand, er, okay.

CAR COMPANIES have vast amounts of cash to spend on the world’s best creative agencies, and there have been some excellent car ads over the years. Now, whether Holden’s latest commercial for the Colorado falls into that category, I’ll let you be the judge.

The campaign is called ‘Colorado: Not to be outdone’ and it’ll launch tonight on the AFL Footy Show. It sees a Colorado driver “battle in a variety of different situations against a scheming goat, pitching brawn and capability against wily mountain knowledge,” Holden said in a statement.

“Colorado is a vehicle that can go anywhere and is always capable of standing up to a challenge, be that on the work-site, in the city or even against a sneaky mountain goat,” said Holden’s new Executive Director – Marketing, Kristian Aquilina.

“The new campaign – which has been in the works for a while – is a more light-hearted, jovial approach for Holden with Colorado. An approach we’re confident will better speak to our good-humored target market.

“Now is a great time to get into a Colorado, with competitive pricing backed up by a segment leading, five-year unlimited KM warranty and five years’ roadside assist to give customers absolute peace of mind.”
