Ford reveals seven modified F-150s for SEMA

Ford has revealed seven modified F-150s for the annual SEMA show in November, with trucks tweaked by MRT, Roush, Leer, CGS Performance and others.

MOST CAR MANUFACTURERS get involved with SEMA, inviting performance houses to tune some of their new vehicles, and now Ford has revealed its seven modified F-150s for the annual tuner show in November.

All of the F-150s are impressive, but our pick is the Roush Performance F-150 which runs a tweaked supercharged 5.0-litre V8 with Roush’s latest-generation R2300 supercharger system which ups the grunt to 480kW and 800Nm of torque.

“Roush wanted to create a vehicle that fit between street truck and track support vehicle, succeeding on that they made this truck capable of tearing up the streets, drag strip or even race track. The handling is improved from the performance suspension kit as well as aggressive Power Stop drilled and slotted rotors,” Ford said.

MRT F-150

MRT stuck with the 3.5-litre V6 EcoBoost but mated it to a six-speed manual. “This F-150 features many go-fast bits from the large capacity intercooler and refined boost mapping for the turbos to safety features like a roll cage and race seats with 5-point harnesses.  To round out their unique approach to the F-150 an attractive two-tone paint set up was used with a yellow pinstripe to help make this truck really pop even when standing still,” Ford said.
