Specifications for the refreshed 2017 Volkswagen Golf 7.5 have been released with pricing expected in the next few weeks.

The refreshed Volkswagen Golf 7.5 will be launched locally in July, but VW has released the model grades and specifications today. The German car maker said the updated Golf GTI and R would launch here in August.

Of note is the fact the 92kW Golf variant has been deleted, with the entry point now the 110kW/250Nm version of Volkswagen’s 1.4-litre turbo engine. Volkswagen said, “Alloy wheels and Front Assist with City Emergency Braking are standard from entry level”.

The hatchback range starts with the 110TSI with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DSG transmission.
