Aston Martin Works celebrates 60 years with six one-off cars

Aston Martin Works celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2015 and will release six limited-edition Vanquish super GT sports cars to mark its diamond jubilee.

ASTON MARTIN WORKS celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2015 and, to celebrate, is releasing six limited-edition sports cars. The first of the six has been released. All six are based on the current Vanquish super GT in either Coupe or Volante form.

According to Aston Martin, each of the six cars will be slightly different, designed to reflect the six decades of Aston Martin. Like any other bespoke model the cars will get specific trim and paint treatments with the rotaries around the major controls cast from metal that was once a piston from an Aston Martin…

The six cars will be instantly recognisable by their Anniversary Yellow side strakes and alloy wheels, they’ll also feature an Aston Martin Works 60th Anniversary logo. Other features include White/black Duotone seat centre panels; unique sill plaques depicting the era the car relates to and featuring the Works Anniversary logo; distinctive colour and trim treatments that include features such as contrast yellow stitching in the leather, and new heavy weave carbon fibre, plus more.

Aston Martin hasn’t touched the car’s mechanicals and, so, they’ll run an untouched 6.0-litre V12 mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Dr Matthew Bennett, General Manager of VIP and Q by Aston Martin Sales at Gaydon, said: “The colours of these six unique cars have been very carefully chosen to reflect and celebrate the progress of Aston Martin Works over those six decades.

“Celebrating the past, but pointing very much toward a bright and exciting future, too, these Vanquish models will, I’m sure, very quickly become a notable feature of the brand’s history at Newport Pagnell.”

Pricing for the six cars will be supplied on application.
