2020 Land Rover Defender on show at Goodwood
The 2020 Land Rover Defender was driven up the famous hillclimb at the Goodwood Festival of Speed across the weekend giving a glimpse of the new off-roader.
The 2020 Land Rover Defender will be revealed in full at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, but attendees at the Goodwood Festival of Speed were given a glimpse of a camouflaged Defender. The prototype Defender was driven up the famous hilclimb track at Goodwood by the Duke of Richmond (pictured).
The Duke of Richmond said, “Few vehicles in the world can claim to be an icon, but that’s the only way to describe the Land Rover Defender. It’s extremely close to my heart and a vehicle that I’ve had a close connection with over the decades, so to be able to open this year’s Festival of Speed by driving it up the Hill was a real privilege”.
Land Rover displayed a replica (read: one that didn’t give too much away) of the Defender that was recently used by the Tusk Foundation in Africa as part of the Defender’s final field test.
