The new Volkswagen Touareg has been spied revealing its new-look front-end…

The new 2017 Volkswagen Touareg has been snapped by spy photographers with the images published on a Facebook page overnight. The current VW Touareg has been on-sale since 2011, and the new one looks to be following in the design lines of the new Tiguan, which sits just below the Touareg.

The image shows the Touareg’s new LED headlights, its thinner grille and more angular design. Thankfully, it doesn’t just look like a pumped up Tiguan, but from the front-end back the family resemblance is more obvious.

Volkswagen hasn’t said anything about the new Touareg, although its expected to carry over existing VW four-cylinder and V6 petrol and diesel engines; there’s also talk of a hybrid powertrain being included in the mix. It’s likely that all-wheel drive will be standard, too.

There’s no word on when we’ll see the new Touareg, but if the image above is anything to go by, we should see an official reveal very soon.
