The 2016 Toyota Hilux has been spied testing in Thailand with a video of a camouflaged Hilux mule appearing online.

EXPECTED TO LAUNCH in 2016, Toyota is developing its new Hilux alongside the wagon-version, called the Fortuner. It’s a move reminiscent of the Ford Ranger and Everest which are virtual twins under the skin.

It’s believed the 2016 Toyota Hilux will sit on a ladder-frame chassis and that it could get a raft of new diesel engines, although that’s pure speculation with details as scarce as hen’s teeth. As you can see in the still taken from the video, the 2016 Hilux will wear a new dual-slat grille with swept-back headlights, resulting in a hawk-like front end.

Do you think the 2016 Hilux will be better than the 2015 Ford Ranger which will be launched later this year?
