The 2016 Lexus GS 200t has been revealed alongside the refreshed LX 570 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’ Elegance.

THE 2016 Lexus GS 200t will replace the GS 250 in Australia and joins the refreshed GS 300h, GS 350 and GS 450h. It will be available in Australia, along with the LX 570, in December.

The new GS 200t features a restyled front end, upgraded multimedia technology, the newly available Lexus Safety System + package, new exterior paint colours, interior colours and ornamentation selections. It runs a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 180kW and 350Nm. This is mated to an eight-speed sports direct transmission and drive the rear wheels. 

“The new GS Line including GS 200t continue Lexus’ product-led strategy, delivering with confident new styling, performance, technology and luxury features,” Lexus Australia chief executive Sean Hanley said. 

A new front bumper and rocker panel design accentuate the GS 200t’s coupe-inspired profile, with the styling makeover extending to revised taillights, revised rear trim and new 18- and 19-inch machine-finish wheel designs.

Lexus Australia will announce pricing closer to the vehicle’s local launch.
