2016 Chevrolet Niva teased
Chevrolet Russia has teased an image of its upcoming 2016 Niva to be revealed in full on August 27 at the Moscow Motor Show.
BY LIGHTENING AND SHARPENING the main image of the 2016 Chevrolet Niva it’s clear the next-generation Niva will carry over and, indeed, build upon the off-road focus of the current model (pictured below). The current-generation Chevrolet Niva has been in production since 1998, produced by GM and its Russian partner AvtoVAZ.
Squint at the image above and you can make out the Niva’s protective cladding, aggressive tyres and front bash plate, on the roof there’s a roof basket carrying a set of spotlights and a spare wheel, a second spare wheel is mounted on the tail-gate, there’s a snorkel and front (and presumably rear too) tow hooks.
There’s a suggestion the 2016 Niva might go on-sale beyond Russia and with a legion of fans here in Australia, we’ve no doubt the 2016 Chevrolet Niva would receive a warm welcome with off-road enthusiasts Down Under.
