The 2015 Kia Optima has been teased in two design sketches ahead of its reveal at the New York Motor Show next month.

LOOKING MORE aggressive than the recent Sportspace Concept revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, it’s fair to say the next-generation Optima will be toned down from these official sketches.

Just how much it will be toned down is hard to say. Kia, short of saying the new Optima was “passionately designed and obsessively crafted,” is remaining tight-lipped on what we should expect. It’s probably fair to say, though, that things like the sculpted flanks and pumped guards and more squared-off snout are likely to make it through to the production model in some way shape or form.

The 2015 Optima will get its official reveal on April 1 (April 2) Australian time at the New York Motor Show, but it’s likely we’ll see more teasers between now and then.
