The 2015 Citroen C4 Picasso has gone on-sale around the country today with a starting price of $40,990 (+ORC).

Citroen has introduced its award-winning five-seat 2015 C4 Picasso hatch to Australia. Starting at $40,990 plus on-road costs, the Picasso has a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol four, paired to an all-new six speed automatic transmission. Producing 121kW and 240Nm, the EURO6 emissions compliant consumes 5.6 L/100km and was the recipient of the 2014 Engine of the Year award in its class.

Inside, the spacious cabin features dual screens, an upper 12-inch, high-definition panoramic display, and a lower touch-sensitive 7-inch screen that provides the vehicle function and on-board controls. Also included is a 360 degree monitor, park assist (self-park), a segment best six-year unlimited kilometre warranty (with capped price servicing and roadside assist) and the largest boot in the segment at 537 litres.

According to Citroen Australia General Manager, John Startari, said the five-seat C4 Picasso will offer consumers an attractive, feature-packed and practical solution to their family motoring needs.

“The C4 Picasso arrives at a time when this segment is growing, but it is a very strong proposition in terms of vehicle features, warranty, service and support,” said Startari. The C4 Picasso has been specified to offer everything the family will need as standard equipment.

“Picasso is neither an SUV, nor an MPV or wagon. We believe it will appeal to a wide variety of Australian buyers looking for a modern, flexible and innovative vehicle that is great to look at and easy to live with,” said Startari.

The Citroen C4 Picasso was awarded the “2014 Golden Steering Award” by German automotive publication AutoBuild, as well as “Hatch of the Year” by Top Gear UK and “Irish Car Of The Year”.
