The most powerful Abarth ever, the 140kW Abarth 695 Biposto, is available to order through Fiat dealers now.

FIAT AUSTRALIA TODAY announced the Abarth 695 Biposto, the fastest street-legal Abarth ever produced, was available for Australian buyers to order. Weighing just 997kg and with a 1.4 T-Jet four-cylinder engine tuned to 140kW (at 5500rpm) and 250Nm (at 3000rpm), the 695 has both a stunning power-to-weight ratio (5.2kg/hp) and can get from 0-100km/h in 5.9 sec. Top speed is 230km/h. Fuel consumption is 6.5L/100km.

Promising a raft of race-ready standard kit, Fiat says the 695 Biposto gets a track-spec intercooler and dynamic aspiration filter casing with carbon finish, and a dual-stage exhaust system with titanium tail pipes by Akrapovic. A dash-mounted Sport button opens the exhaust valve completely. Completing its racer set-up are front fixed windows with polycarbonate sliding panels and its lightened 18-inch rims by OZ fitted with 215/35 R18 tyres, and a rear titanium roll bar by Poggipolini, the 695 Biposto also gets a data logger from MLX.

In terms of safety, the Abarth 695 Biposto matches supercar performance with class-leading reliability and safety, with ABS, ESP and Torque Transfer Control (which applies the brake to any wheel that loses traction, instead of cutting power) disc and clutch self-locking differential and Brembo brakes with front floating, ventilated and perforated discs (305×28 mm) and four-piston one-piece calipers.

The Abarth 695 Biposto gets bespoke front and rear bumper, side skirts, wheel arches and a spoiler. Finished in textured Matt Grey, the bonnet, door handles, tailgate and rear handle are finished in titanium. The bonnet, says Fiat, is made out of aluminium and inspired by the 124 and features two bumps. Inside, there’s an anti-intrusion net for securing luggage and the four-point seat Sabelt seatbelts are also attached to the roll bar.

There are three kits available for the Abarth 695 Biposto:

  • The ‘Exterior Kit’ offers: aluminium bonnet with specific design, hub caps and wheel bolts and water, oil and fuel caps in titanium.
  • The ‘Carbon Kit’offers: carbon mirror and post covers on the outside, dashboard fascia, front door panel and rear-view mirror on the inside.
  • The ‘Racing Kit’ offers: digital data logger and the four-point seat belt attached to the seats with carbon shell, as well as full racing suit, shoes, gloves and helmet of a real Abarth driver, and the opportunity to personalise them with your initials.
