More than 100 cars have set a new world record at Summernats 28 (2015) for the most number of burnouts performed simultaneously.

A RECORD 103 cars lined up at Summernats 28 on January 1 (2015) to perform the most number of simultaneous burnouts, which bested the previous world record set at 2013 Summernats by 35 cars.

According to Guinness World Record official, Chris Sheedy, 107 cars lined up to take part but four were counted out, leaving the new world record to stand at 103 cars. Summernats co-owner Andy Lopez said: “ We wanted to get 100, so 103 is three better than awesome”.
