Refreshed 2020 Skoda Superb teased
The refreshed 2020 Skoda Superb has been teased with a design sketch ahead of its reveal at the Ice Hockey World Championship later this month.
The refreshed Skoda Superb has been teased ahead of its public reveal this weekend at the World Ice Hockey Championship (Skoda has been a sponsor of the event since 1993).
The teaser image shows a subtle evolution of the Superb with the model retaining its traditional grille design with new-look headlights and a tweaked front bumper. Like the Scala that replaced the Skoda Rapid, the refreshed Superb will have its name spelled out across its rump instead of a Skoda badge.
Skoda isn’t saying too much about the Superb other than being the brand’s flagship we can expect it to feature the latest innovations “in terms of design, technology and functionality”.
“The refined top model gives substance to Skoda’s aspiration to offer vehicles of the highest quality that provide customers with an exceptional amount of space and numerous features from higher-tier segments,” Skoda said in a statement.
The Superb shares its platform with the VW Passat and it’s likely the refreshed Superb will offer the same petrol-electric drivetrain as the Passat GTE – Skoda has previously said it will ‘electrify’ its range. And, on the inside, it’s likely the Superb will offer things like wireless Apple and Android connectivity and more besides.
