The limited-edition Isuzu D-Max X-Runner is on-sale now for $54,990 drive-away. It’s limited to just 645 units.
Limited to just 645 units, the limited-edition D-Max X-Runner is on-sale now at $54,990 drive-away and in only two colours, Pearl White (exclusive to X-Runner) and Magnetic Red. The D-Max X-Runner as a variant dates back to 2011.
Managing Director of Isuzu Ute Australia, Hiroyasu Sato said, “The D-Max X-Runner was first introduced back in 2011 to great success, with the latest X-Runner made available in 2017 seeing even more success amongst drivers seeking a bold-looking 1-tonne ute.
“With a number of unique features and accessories inside and out, and bolstered by its exclusive styling and exclusive paintwork, we fully expect that the 2019 X-RUNNER will be even more successful than its predecessors,” he said.
The D-max X-Runner is based on the top-spec 4×4 LS-T variant and gets six-way powered adjust driver’s seat, keyless start. The engine and transmission are carried over. Updates announced this week for MU-X (detailed elsewhere on PM) and the D-Max see the LS-T get new-look 18-inch machined-faced matte black aluminium wheels, new Fibre-Reinforced Polymer (FRP) sidesteps and touches of matte black to the roof rails and body.
Beyond this, exclusive to the X-Runner variant are X-Runner branding across the bonnet, doors, rear quarter and tailgate. Rear Park Assist is standard, as are an under-rail tub liner and a sports bar finished in satin black. On the inside, there are X-Runner scuff plates, piano black finishes and defining red Isuzu badges and trims across the doors, dash and steering wheel. There are piano black trims on the doors and centre console.
The X-Runner is more of a sticker pack than a significant tweaking of the donor vehicle, ah la Toyota HiLux Rogue, etc. But, it’s worth noting that Isuzu has bumped its ownership offering to a six-year warranty, six-years roadside assist and a seven-year capped-price servicing plan.
