Great Wall Ute interior revealed
The all-new Great Wall Ute destined for global markets has shown off its interior following the release of exterior pics last week.
While local specifications haven’t been finalised the interior picture of the Great Wall Ute’s Urban variant gives an indication that Great Wall Motors is clearly trying to take its ute upmarket. The interior shows off quilted leather seats, the type you normally find on premium cars and has the appearance of a passenger vehicle rather than a work truck.
According to Great Wall Motors, its Urban ute variant is aimed at families. “The family orientated “urban” model is designed to create an intimate driving environment with the use of monotone surrounds and contrasting jacquard texture seats and door inserts,” Great Wall Motors said in a statement accompanying the images.
“The design of driver instrumentation cluster is simple and concise and is set within a leather, deep-dish steering wheel with a compact airbag housing. The central 9” touchscreen operates voice recognition, infotainment, and the climate control system. The new ute will also feature push button start, mobile phone interconnection and remote vehicle start function.”
Details are still relatively thin but we do know the new Great Wall Motors ute will share the same platform as the new Haval H9 (and you can read more about what we do know here) and that it will get an electric parkbrake and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission.
