Tesla Model 3 deliveries to start this month

Tesla boss, Elon Musk, has confirmed deliveries of the Tesla Model 3 will begin at the end of this month, eventually reaching 20,000 units per month in December.

TAKING TO TWITTER, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, confirmed that Model 3 deliveries would begin at the end of this month, with 100 cars produced and delivered in August, 1500 in September and up to 20,000 in December.

Almost 500,000 people have placed an order (paying USD$1500 to reserve a vehicle) for a Model 3 which is understood to be the maximum capacity of output at Tesla’s brand-new battery-making Gigafactory. Australian pricing hasn’t been released for the Model 3 but it lists for USD$35,000, offers a range of 345km per charge, can seat five adults and can hit 100km/h in less than six seconds.

Tesla Australia is suggesting that anyone placing an order for a Model 3 today won’t see it until the middle of next year.
