Nissan has announced pricing for the X-Trail, one of its most popular models.

THE NISSAN X-TRAIL is one of Nissan’s best-selling models in Australia and the upgraded model launches here this month.

“The introduction of the All-New Nissan X-Trail to the Australian market is one of our most hotly anticipated new product launches to date,” said Nissan Motor Company (Australia) Managing Director and CEO, Peter Jones.

“The X-Trail has been a mainstay in the Nissan product line-up for many years and has proven a favourite with the Australian public. So we are excited to be bringing the All-New X-Trail into Nissan dealerships from March,” he says.

There’s no doubt the X-Trail is one of Nissan’s strongest nameplates, with around 140,000 sold in Australia since its introduction in 2001.”

The Nissan X-Trail is priced from $27,990

The new X-Trail comes with some improvements such as Divide’N’Hide storage system (five-seat variants only), smart phone connectivity, wide opening rear doors and what Nissan calls theatre-view seating. Active ride control and rear view camera are standard in all three grades. ST-L and Ti grades also get AroundView monitor, sat nav, digital radio, leather-accented seats and dual-zone climate control. Top line Ti models get sensor activated tailgates, blind spot warning, moving object detection and lane departure warning. All three grades have the option of 4WD using the Nissan All Mode 4×4-i system.

Two wheel-drive models start from $27,990 (plus ORC). Auto adds $2500. Four wheel-drive models start from $33,980 and rise to $44,680. Diesel variants will be offered later in 2014 with pricing to be announced at a later date.

  1. If it uses the same running gear as the current generation, and Nissan Australia support (sic) it, then forget it. No support from Nissan Australia regarding a brand new X-Trail that accelerates by itself, shuts down on the highway without warning whilst in front of trucks, refuses to go into 6th gear (Because I’m not going over 130km/h) and uses 17lt/100km of diesel. (Nissan Australia says that’s acceptable)

Five brand new Nissans, all have been faulty (Two have burst into flames while driving) Nissan Australia refuse to comment or even talk with me.

    Never again!
