Subaru Levorg to be unveiled at Tokyo Motor Show
Subaru’s Levorg concept car is set to make its world premiere at the 43rd Tokyo Motor Show on November 20, showcasing the shape of things to come for the popular brand.
The Subaru Levorg, the company says “hints at a new vehicle currently under development for market launch in Japan in 2014”, so expect to see a version here the tail end of 2014, beginning of 2015.
Levorg comes from a combination of the words Legacy, Revolution and Touring, and Subaru says the concept will blend the practicality of a tourer and the design and feel of a sports car.
The Levorg features an all-new 1.6-litre horizontally-opposed Boxer engine with direct-injection turbo (DIT) technology. This Subaru-developed engine is designed to combine decent performance with greater environmental efficiency. The new engine will also be on show on the Subaru motor show stand as a technology exhibit.
The Levorg sports tourer prototype will be joined on the Subaru stand at Tokyo by another new concept vehicle called the Crossover 7 concept, a seven-seat SUV designed to combine the requirements of around-town family use with rough-road driving capability.
