Mazda has cut the price on its 2015 Mazda3 by up to $1150 with many models receiving an additional $1200 worth of standard equipment.

The 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon saw Mazda reveal several performance-oriented concepts, including this 2015 Mazda CX-3 Racing Concept.

Mazda cuts price on Mazda3, Mazda6, CX-5 and CX-9 from $268 to $963 depending on the model and engine variant, thanks to the Japan Australia Economic Partnership Agreement.

Financial constraints at Mazda will see it concentrate on its core models, with CEO Masamichi Kogai ruling out the rebirth of the Mazda RX sports car.

Mazda’s design boss has said there will be no new Mazda RX model without a rotary engine, putting an end to rumours of a revival of the motoring icon.
