Walkinshaw Performance has released details and pricing of its W507 upgrade for the Gen F HSV GTS which bumps up output to 507kW and 850Nm.
WALKINSHAW PERFORMANCE has revealed full details and pricing for its W507 upgrade for the HSV GTS, a process, it says, that began back in 2013. According to Walkinshaw Performance the aim was to bolt-on existing product to the HSV GTS but, “it very quickly became evident that this was never going to be an option. The complexity of the design and setup of the LSA powered HSV required a complete rethink from the WPP team”.
“There are critical components such as the main wiring loom that without the right clearances in the header area can be affected overtime by the heat generated – in excess of 1000 degrees Celsius,” lead engineer Andy Richardson says.
“When we set out to do this project we wanted to achieve an upgrade that delivers maximum excitement and great driveability.
“The feedback from these GTS owners [final testing was carried out with 20 GenF HSV GTS owners] was invaluable for us but most importantly confirmed we exceeded their expectations with what we have produced.”
