Hyundai has revealed sketches of the second-generation all-new i20, which will be revealed in the metal at the Paris Motor Show (October).

THE NEW VERSION of Hyundai’s Ford Fiesta competitor features what Hyundai calls ‘Fluidic Sculpture 2.0’ design philosophy, designed at Hyundai Motor’s Design Centre in Russelsheim, Germany. Look too close at the sleek, sporty design and there are definite hints of Audi’s A1, or do my eyes deceive me?

According to Hyundai, “the long hood and generous shape create a powerful stance for the all-new i20”. The front offers a new interpretation of Hyundai’s hexagonal grille with a thin strip connecting the headlights. At the back, the wrap-around rear window and unique treatment for the lamp clusters combine with the car’s hatchback proportions to create a distinctive design.

Pricing and specifications haven’t been revealed, but we’ll have more after the all-new i20 makes its debut at the Paris Motor Show in October.
