The Mazda MX-5 RF will go on-sale in Australia from 1 February 2017 and list from $38,550+ORC.
THE MAZDA MX-5 RF will be available in two models when it arrives here in February, the RF and RF GT with prices starting at $38,500+ORC. The key feature of the MX-5 RF is its retractable hardtop roof which can be opened and closed at speeds up to 10km/h which is about the speed of a gentle jog.
In addition to its hardtop roof, the MX-5 RF will come with a 4.6-inch full-colour TFT display, LED headlights (with Adaptive Front Lighting) as well as a leather-trimmed steering wheel and gear-lever. RF GT models add a nine-speaker BOSE audio system with integrated headrest speakers, as well as LED tail-lights and heated seats. The GT variant is also available, at extra cost, with a black roof and Nappa leather interior.
Machine Grey Metallic replaces the MX-5 soft top’s Meteor Grey Mica paint colour. Under the bonnet is a 118kW/200Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. Mazda hasn’t released full specifications for this car yet, but you can expect it to be a touch slower (thanks to the heavier roof) than the soft top variants.
