A Tesla Model S Shooting Brake has been teased with plans for the limited-run variant to be revealed in March 2018.

A DUTCH DESIGN AND coach-building firm has been commissioned to build a limited-run (20) of Model S Shooting Brakes. Penned by Dutch designer Nils van Roij, the Model S Shooting Brake will be built by RemetzCar which has allegedly already begun work on the first unit. The project was commissioned by Dutch “collectioneur” Floris de Raadt who is described as being an “avid fan of shooting brakes” and an “early adopter of full electric driving”.

The design of the Model S Shooting Brake adds a sculpted rear end to the Model S, which van Roij says, “merges seamlessly with the Tesla base vehicle, whilst clearly communicating though form, design language and materials that this is a tailor-made Shooting Brake.”

There’s no word on modifications to the powertrain or the interiors, although van Roij admits bespoke interiors “and various exclusive options will be available upon request”.

According to Van Roij, the essential elements of the theme that was chosen are its dynamic, bold profile with continuously flowing lines. “And of course we added a completely new sculpted rear-end, keeping the shoulders of the car alive, thus ensuring a bold stance.”

Question: What do you think of the Model S Shooting Brake?
