US tuning company, Hennessey, has revealed its VelociRaptor 6×6 which will go on-sale from USD$295,000.
OFFERING MORE POWER to its existing Velociraptor and an extra set of wheels sees the Velociraptor 6×6 go head to head with the Mercedes-AMG G63 6×6. The Velociraptor 6×6 is based on the current Ford Raptor. Locally, you could buy a Mazda BT-50 6×6…
“Over the past five years we have built over 800 VelociRaptor modified Raptor trucks for enthusiasts around the world”, said John Hennessey, Founder & CEO of Hennessey Performance.
“We are now very excited to be able to offer the VelociRaptor 6X6 as well as our VelociRaptor 600 twin-turbo engine upgrade to those who want even more power, performance and off-road capability.”
Your near-USD$300,000 gets you the base Raptor four-door, 6X6 locking rear axles, upgraded Fox suspension, upgraded 20-inch wheels and off-road tires, special front and rear bumpers, roll bar and LED lights.
Buyers will also be able to up the performance of the existing Hennessey Raptor via the company’s 600 twin-turbo upgrade, which gives the thing, as the name suggests, more than 600 horsepower. The VelociRaptor 600 twin turbo upgrade with 600+ horsepower costs USD$22,500.
“The 600+ HP upgrade includes upgraded twin turbochargers, stainless steel exhaust modifications, upgraded front mounted air to air intercooler and plumbing and re-tuned factory computer,” Hennessey said.
Other cost-optional upgrades include: Brembo front & rear brake upgrade, larger wheels and tires, LED lighting upgrades, bespoke interiors, electronic upgrades and armoring systems will also available.
“Our VelociRaptor 6X6 is pure aggression on wheels – all six of them”, said Hennessey. “The new 2017 Raptor is going to be one of the best all-around trucks ever built. We are excited to help take it to the next level both in terms of performance and exclusivity”.
Question: What do you think, is the Hennessey Velociraptor 6×6 too much?
The epitome of everything wrong with the USA. Seriously outside of military who needs this, but the rich meatheads will love it to go hunting.
