The company responsible for the build of Jaguar design boss, Ian Callum’s personal Jaguar Mark 2, Classic Motor Cars, has announced a limited run of the car priced from £350,000 – £375,000, or AUD$611,000 – AUD$654,000.

THE JAGUAR MARK 2 by Callum was shown off at the opening of Classic Motor Cars’ new headquarters at the end of August, but according to the company, in the week since the vehicle was shown to the public the response has been “amazing”.

“The car was only unveiled to the public just over a week ago but has attracted interest from all over the world,” said Peter Neumark, Chairman of CMC.

He added: “In my remarks at the launch of the car I said that we would love to build more, but little did I think the response would be so great. Within hours we had received calls from people all over the globe asking if they could buy one. We asked Ian Callum if we could produce a limited run and he has said ‘yes.’”

Giving his approval to the build of a “few” more cars, Callum said: “I redesigned the car and CMC rebuilt it and reengineered it for my personal use. I wasn’t sure how it would be received but I have been both astounded and delighted with the response. I am pleased that a few more cars are going to be built.”

According to CMC, buyers will be able to choose the body and interior colour they want, but the rest of the car, including the engine, suspension and brakes, etc will mirror the specifications of Ian Callum’s Mark 2.

What do you think, is the price for this Jaguar Mark 2 by Callum a little over the top?
