2017 Honda Civic Hatch arrives Down Under from $22,390+ORC

The new 2017 Honda Civic Hatch launches today and is available in showrooms from $22,390+ORC.

THE CIVIC HATCH is now available in Australia and comes in five grades – VTi, VTi-S, VTi-L, RS and VTi-LX – and as previously reported the range will offer similar spec levels to the sedan grades.

All models are front-wheel drive and come standard with a CVT transmission. VTi and VTi-S models come with 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine which produces 104kW/174Nm while VTi-L, RS and VTi-LX get a more powerful 127kW/220Nm 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and added paddle shifters.

Base VTi comes standard with 16-inch steel wheels, LED headlights, 7-inch infotainment with Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, fabric seats, cruise control. VTi-S adds in addition to VTi, 16-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, front and rear parking sensors, keyless entry and leather wrapped steering wheel. VTi-L adds in addition to VTi-S, the more powerful engine, 17-inch alloy wheels, auto headlights, automatic wipers, tinted rear windows, DAB radio and dual zone climate control.

The RS model adds a sporty look with piano black lower spoilers all round, chrome door handles and centrally mounted twin exhaust tip. In addition to the sporty body styling the RS model also receives in addition to the VTi-L, 17-inch alloy sport wheels, LED fog lights, sunroof, leather seat trim, heated front seats, electric driver’s seat, alloy sports pedals and premium 10-speaker sound system.

The top spec VTi-LX adds to the RS with native satellite navigation with live traffic and Honda Sensing Suite, which includes AEB, road departure mitigation, collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control.

The comprehensive Honda safety package, which is standard on VTi-LX, is not available standard or as an option on any other model.

Civic Hatch pricing (+ORC):

  • VTi – $22,390;
  • VTi-S – $24,490;
  • VTi-L – $27,790;
  • RS – $32,290; and
  • VTi-LX – $33,590.
