2015 Skoda Octavia Scout 4×4 details announced

Skoda has announced engine and specification details for its 2015 Octavia Scout 4×4 but we won’t know pricing until March.

THE 2015 SKODA OCTAVIA Scout 4×4 goes on-sale in March with Skoda announcing today the new-generation model would get an expanded line-up of engines. What engines? The new Octavia Scout 4×4 gets a 110kW diesel combined with a six-speed manual transmission and a choice of either a 135kW diesel or 132kW petrol engine coupled with a six-speed automatic DSG.

The Octavia Scout runs the latest generation, Haldex 5, all-wheel drive system, raised ground clearance (it rides 31mm higher than the standard Octavia) and unique exterior and interior styling to set it apart from the garden-variety Octavia.

The interior of the entry-level Octavia Scout 4×4 sees unique badging and trim details, including a leather steering wheel, gear-shifter and hand brake lever and chrome door handles. Step up to the 135TDI and 132TSI models, and they both get Alcantara leather seat upholstery, an eight-inch touch screen ‘Columbus’ unit with touch screen functionality and satellite navigation, dual-zone air conditioning and automatic tailgate as standard equipment.

Standard safety features include: nine airbags, rear view camera and rear parking sensors, fatigue detection and Passenger Protect Assist. A Premium Pack is also available although Skoda hasn’t said how much it will cost, it includes: the eight-inch touch screen ‘Columbus’ unit but adds satellite navigation, Alcantara leather-appointed upholstery, dual-zone air conditioning, heated front seats, automatic tailgate, 17-inch ‘Polar’ alloy wheels, and privacy glass.  A cost-optional Tech Pack will also be available, and includes Adaptive Cruise Control Front Assist and City Emergency Brake (available on the 110TDI and 132TSI only), Bi-xenon headlights, Automatic Parking Assist, premium Canton sound system, advanced keyless entry with Smart Start, Driving Mode Selection, and, for the first time for Skoda, a new camera-based Lane Assist system.

The 2015 Octavia Scout 4×4 will be launched in March and we’ll have more information then.
