BMW has released pricing for the 2015 BMW X5M and X6M ahead of their local launch later this year, with prices starting from $185,900 (+ORC).

SET TO GO ON-SALE later this year, the 2015 BMW X5M and X6M will be priced from $185,900 (+ORC) and $194,700 (+ORC), respectively.

Powered by a 4.4-litre twin-scroll biturbo eight-cylinder petrol engine (the most powerful engine ever fitted to an XDrive vehicle), both the X5M and X6M offer 423kW and 750Nm of torque (15kW more than its predecessor) with the dash to 100km/h dispatched in 4.2 seconds. Fuel consumption is down by 20% to 11.1L/100km.

Chassis upgrades over predecessor models include stiffer springs and lowering the body by 10mm which, in conjunction with the active Dynamic Drive anti-roll system, has resulted in an effective reduction of lateral tilt and body roll in fast bends, or so BMW says, while Dynamic Damper Control with electronically adjustable damping for COMFORT, SPORT and SPORT+ modes ensure a perfect balance between dynamism and comfort.

The new BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M will be fitted with 21-inch M light alloy wheels, adaptive LED headlights, signature M twin-arm exterior mirrors with integrated direction indicators, chrome-finished exhaust pipes, trademark blue M brake callipers and ornamental black front grille, with M double rods.

On the inside of both models are exclusive, electric M multifunction sport seats in fine-grain Merino leather contrasting seams and embossed M logos on the backrests, extended leather upholstery with leather-trimmed BMW Individual instrument panel and ergonomically optimised M leather steering wheel with aluminium gear selector paddles.
