Refreshed 2019 Suzuki Baleno here in August
A refreshed 2019 Suzuki Baleno will arrive here in August boasting a tweaked grille, new bumpers and headlights with pricing unchanged.
Suzuki is hoping minor tweaks to its Suzuki Baleno will help it grow sales in the small car segment, with the refreshed model arriving in two waves from August. The entry-level Baleno GL will be here in August with the GLX arriving a month later.
Suzuki Australia General Manager – Automobile, Michael Pachota said, “A welcome improvement has been introduced in the Series II with a sleek but aggressive sporty aesthetic, amongst other additions. The new look design successfully freshens up the Baleno and remains perfectly fit in our Suzuki model line-up for the Australian automotive market.”
Furthermore, “Impressively, even with these improvements, current pricing is sustained and with the recent introduction of a 1.4 litre engine in the GLX variant, bringing the entire range below $18,900+ORCs, will no doubt further increase our opportunity in the light car segment” said Pachota.
The updated Baleno has only had a minor touch-up, getting a new-look grille, front and rear bumpers, tweaks to the 15-inch hubcap and 16-inch alloy wheel designs, with the GLX getting UV protection glass windscreen and new LED headlights with automatic levelling. On the inside, there’s new seat fabric and colours as well as a slight change to the door trim. Engines are carried over.
RRP for the new look Baleno remains unchanged from the current model:
- Baleno GL M/T: $15,990;
- Baleno GL A/T: $16,990; and
- Baleno GLX A/T: $18,990.
Metallic paint is an extra $500.
