2018 Hyundai i30 N priced from $39,990+ORC
The all-new Hyundai i30 N will undercut key competitor the VW Golf GTI when it in April, with the more-power i30 N listing from $39,990+ORC.
PRICING WAS ALWAYS going to be key in getting the i30 N onto shopping lists and it looks like Hyundai’s bean counters have had their arms twisted right up behind their backs. Despite a war of words from Volkswagen, the Hyundai i30 N which arrives here in April manages to undercut its equivalent five-door GTI rival, listing from $39,990+ORC. The Golf GTI five-door lists from $41,990+ORC although you can get a three-door GTI from $37,490+ORC.

It was thought Hyundai might offer the I30 N in two trims, but it’s decided on one, the i30 N Performance which offers 202kW and 353Nm of torque, more than the Golf GTI (169kW/350Nm) and only slightly less than the full-blooded Golf R (213kW/380Nm). Punters will be able to cost-option the i30 N with two packs, the Luxury Pack ($3000) and the Luxury Pack with panoramic sunroof ($5000).

Yeah, DAB+ as standard, about time. Can’t stand listening to FM anymore, so much more choice on DAB+.
Definitely looks a like a great car and hopefully it sticks it right up VW. Here’s my main gripe. I don’t want a hatch, I much prefer a sedan and for that reason the only thing I can really choose is the Audi S3, but it’s a rip-off and would have to buy a 3 year old model. Why do manufacturers essentially only make hot hatches. Why is there no Jetta GTi or Jetta R. If Hyundai made the same thing in a Elantra or an all new sedan, I’d be testing one tomorrow.

It desperately needs an auto to get volume. It looks good in hot hatch form, too bad about the inspid blue and black alloys.
Sorry don’t agree that these type of cars need auto’s Most who drive these type of cars (esp overseas) prefer manual which is a big part of the whole experience. If you like auto’s by a more mundane vehicle
