2016 Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series leaked. Again
Photos of the interior and exterior of the 2016 Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series have leaked onto the internet again via Instagram user Hamad1two3.
THE INTERNET HAS STRUCK again, or, rather Instagram user Hamad1two3 has struck again, posting revealing interior and exterior images of the 2016 Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series. This Instagram user revealed the first set of leaked images a few weeks ago.
Complete with comparison pics, the evolution of the LandCruiser 200 Series is plain to see, with hints of HiLux now in the front-end. On the inside, the most significant change is the large touchscreen display which doesn’t look to be the same as the Starlink units both Toyota and Subaru are now using. That said, the interior certainly looks smarter and more luxurious.
Despite the leaked images, details are still relatively thin and while some outlets are reporting the LandCruiser 200 will be available in some markets with the 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel used in the new HiLux this is just speculation. Here in Australia, Toyota is likely to continue with its current line-up of engines albeit with some improvements to fuel consumption, performance and emissions.
A refresh rather than a new model, the 2016 LandCruiser 200 is rumoured to be heading for an August reveal. Key changes on the outside include the previously mentioned front grille and headlights which show that at least some models will be available with LED daytime running lights while the rear-end too will come in for some slight tweaks.
So, what do you think, is this a step in the right direction, from a design perspective for the LandCruiser 200? Leave a comment below.
Oh dear. Ford might be a little impressed its three bar grill is being paid such a compliment.
