Land Rover Experience has long been offering local drives and experiences, and now there’s international adventures.

ACCORDING TO THE LAND ROVER press release the self-drive experiences are “unforgettable self-drive holidays combining epic road trips with some of Earth’s most spectacular scenery”.

The USA drive is in Utah’s famed Moab area over 5 days, and cost is $5,250 (USD) per person, or about $6700 AUD. It includes all Land Rover driving activities, accommodation, meals and airport transfers. The Moab drive is targeted at those “wanting an off-road challenge”. Given the area, you can expect that would be the case and the terrain would probably be slick rock. Land Rover say that “guests will receive a full daily briefing to prepare them for adventures tackling the Seven Mile Rim, Poison Spider Mesa and the Hells Revenge Trails where they will put the vehicles through their paces. ”

The African drive is eight days in Namibia, and costs from €4,950 per person or about $7500AUD, based on two people sharing.  That seems to be more targeted at tourism that driving, as Land Rover say that “seeing the ‘big five’ or taking an epic road trip feature heavily on travel bucket-lists but combining it with a self-drive in the new Land Rover Discovery makes for an unforgettable travel experience. Guests can photograph epic sand dunes, spot the continent’s great beasts in Etosha National Park and enjoy spectacular scenery where the Namib Desert meets the South Atlantic Ocean.”
