2015 Skoda Superb teased. Again
Skoda has released a new design sketch of the third-generation, 2015 Skoda Superb ahead of its mid-2015 launch.
SKODA MIGHT HAVE got this all a bit backwards. See, the Czech company has already teased a camouflaged Superb and yet now has reverted to showing a sketch ahead of the vehicle’s full reveal in February 2015. It will then be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Slightly longer and wider than its predecessor, the 2015 Skoda Superb is expected to lose a little weight due to the use of high-strength lightweight steel and it will likely borrow its engines from the Volkswagen Passat range, although exactly what engines we’ll get to choose from in Australia remains to be seen. There’s also no word yet on when in 2015 we’ll get to see the new Superb.
Skoda describes the new Superb as, making “a visual impact in the automotive mid-class segment, offering a sharp and muscular look that is more poised and full of emotion than ever before. The expressive shapes of the exterior can also be found echoed inside the car”.
Speaking of the inside, it remains to be seen just how much of the Passat’s tech the Superb will get but with the wheelbase being stretched by around 80mm rear legroom will be even more impressive as will bootspace which is rumoured to grow to around 625 litres.
We’ll have more information closer to the vehicle’s reveal in February.
