2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 teased again
Ford all but confirms the release on 17 November of the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 in fourth teaser video.
FORD HAS DROPPED its fourth video, in a series of five, leading up to the official unveiling on 17 November, of an “exciting performance car”. While it’s almost undoubtedly the 2016 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 which we’ve seen running around the Nurburgring, there are some on the Interweb suggesting it might also be a new Ford GT, but that’s unlikely.

As you can see in the screen grab from this fourth film and the spy pic of the Mustang Shelby GT350 the front end is almost identical to the silhouette pic above. And don’t worry, we’ve tried to lighten, sharpen, etc to find any additional detail but there’s none to be had. Ford says the front track has been widened on this new model and that the bonnet is flatter and broader, now, while the angle for the silhouette shot is ridiculously low, you can see the angles and shape of the front end correspond with the camouflaged mules that have been running around.
The previous video (third in the series) kind of, maybe, hinted that the Mustang Shelby GT350 might get a turbocharged EcoBoost engine and it still might, but this does go against everything we so far know about the thing, let alone the engine noise that’s been captured on film at the Nurburgring. The thinking is the Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 will get a 5.2-litre V8 punching out around 447kW, and that’s kind of confirmed by the sound of V8 idling at the end of the video. Or is it?
