All-New Volvo XC90 R-Design revealed
Volvo has revealed official images of the new XC90 R-Design to make its official debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
AFTER IMAGES WERE leaked online of the Volvo XC90 R-Design earlier this week, Volvo has revealed the first official images. The Volvo XC90 R-Design will make its world debut at the 2014 Paris Motor Show.
“R-Design is created for people with a passion for things that add spice to life,” said Alain Visser, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Customer Service of Volvo Car Group in a statement.
“It appeals to customers that love active driving and a personal, expressive design. Every single R-Design detail is designed to contribute to the individualistic and refined expression these customers desire.”
The R-Design enhanced exterior of the new XC90 offers a new-look grille, front spoiler, silk metal window trim, integrated dual tailpipes, bright roof rails and mirror covers in matte silver; 20-inch or cost-optional 22-inch R-Design alloy wheels are also available. On the inside, the R-Design sports seats and leather-wrapped steering wheel are accompanied by special R-Design details, such as gearshift knob, pedals, floor mats and illuminated scuff plates. The tablet-like touch screen in the centre and the 12.3-inch driver display also get the R-Design treatment with a unique theme.
According to Volvo, the R-Design trim is one of four choices available to customers: Kinetic (base model); Momentum; Inscription and R-Design.
“In principle, we have replaced the previous top level with the Inscription and R-Design versions. Both of them feature an elevated content, carefully chosen to emphasise each of their distinctive individual personalities,” said Visser.
Full details regarding the Volvo XC90 range in Australia will likely be revealed at the Paris Motor Show next month.
