Mitsubishi drops prices on 2015 Lancer range
Mitsubishi has announced price cuts and specification increases for its 2015 Lancer line-up with pricing starting from $18,990 (+ORC).
MITSUBISHI HAS “rolled back” pricing for the 2015 Lancer line-up, including the Lancer Evolution, with the 2015 Lancer ES sedan manual now listing from $18,990 (+ORC). Featuring a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine making 110kW, the entry-level Lancer ES gets 16-inch alloy wheels, climate control air-conditioning, Bluetooth hands free and audio streaming with voice control, seven airbags including front, side, curtain and driver’s knee airbags, and sports body kit with rear spoiler and side body skirts among its standard equipment.
The next step up is the Lancer LS which lists from $20,990 (+ORC) and gets a 6.1-inch full colour touch screen, reversing camera, Smart Key technology, and leather facing seats, heated front seats and power adjustable driver’s seat.
Introduced in April, the Lancer GSR Sportback (now lists from $21,990 (+ORC) which is a $1000 price reduction. It features 18-inch alloy wheels, side air dams, rear sports spoiler, sports-style front seats and sports pedals. It also has reversing camera, voice activated Bluetooth with audio streaming, climate control air-conditioning, privacy glass, Smart Key, rain sensing wipers, dusk sensing lamps, 6.1-inch full colour touch screen with iPod compatibility and rear view camera interface. Lancer GSR Sportback is available from $21,990 RRP.
Replacing the Lancer VRX sedan is the new XLS, which starts from $26,490 (+ORC). It runs a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine (125kW), nine-speaker Rockford Fosgate sound system, seven-inch full colour touch screen with 3D navigation mapping and SD card input, rain-sensing wipers, electro-chromatic rear view mirror, dusk sensing headlamps, electric foldable door mirrors, 18-inch alloy wheels and sports suspension.
Automatic transmission is a $2,000 option across ES, LS and XLS sedan and GSR Sportback models.
Pricing for Mitsubishi’s 2015 Evolution range has also been revised, now listing from $52,990 (+ORC) with manual transmission and $58,990 (+ORC) for the MR SST auto. That’s still priced higher than the Subaru WRX STI which starts from $49,990 (+ORC). The Lancer Evolution for 2015 adds door mirrors with indicator lamp, ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) and new door trims across the range.
Mitsubishi’s 2015 model year Lancer range has a 5 year/100,000km new vehicle warranty and is available at Mitsubishi dealerships nationally from today.
