2015 Mazda2 sedan now on-sale
Almost 12 months after the Mazda2 hatch arrived in Australia, the 2015 Mazda2 sedan is now on-sale with prices starting from $14,990 (+ORC).
PRICES FOR THE 2015 Mazda2 sedan mirror that of its hatchback sibling, although the sedan can only be had in two trim levels while the hatch is available in three: Neo; Maxx; and Genki. This is the first time since 2011 that Mazda has offered a sedan version of the Mazda2.
The entry-level Neo sedan (from $14,990+ORC) comes with cruise control, Bluetooth, keyless push-button engine start, ABS, DSC, ESS and rear parking sensors as standard equipment. The mid-spec Maxx (from $17,690+ORC) adds the lauded MZD Connect with seven-inch display and multi-function commander control, reverse camera and 15-inch alloys.
Like its hatch sibling, the Mazda2 sedan runs the same two SKYACTIV-G 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engines. The Neo’s engine puts out 79kW and 139Nm of torque, while the Maxx gets 81kW and 141Nm of torque. Fuel consumption is between 4.9-5.4L/100km.
Mazda expects the sedan to make up 15% of total Mazda2 sales.
